Easy One
Challenge:
How did this happen? This was supposed to be a valid QR code, but some ants walked across it. Can you repair the damage?
Solution:
This was another QR Code related challenge but this time all the white areas have been removed from the image with only outlines remaining. Additionally, there is a horizontal line of missing pixels through the middle of the QR Code. The missing pixels need to be repaired first in order to reduce the complexity of replacing the white sections.
I used the GNU Image Manipulation Program (GIMP) to zoom in and repair the fourteen broken outlines using a 1-pixel sized pencil. With the outline patched I then used the bucket fill tool to add 26 sections of white within the visible outlines. The finished image was a scannable QR Code.
